Our History
Cranberry Lane was founded in 1994 by Lisa and Kent Gravelle. We are well known as Western Canada's first and foremost supplier of all-natural bodycare and soapmaking ingredients. In recent years, we have concentrated on developing and creating high quality, all-natural personal care products, which are natural alternatives to commercially made products.
Our body care and skin care products are designed so that they form a gel matrix, which closely mimics the lipid structure of the skin. This promotes healthy skin by strengthening the skin's natural barrier function. Our creams and lotions are easily absorbed by the skin, with absolutely no oiliness or tackiness, delivering active ingredients such as vitamins, extracts, oils, and sunscreens very effectively. This allows the skin to receive the maximum benefit of all the ingredients. Our bath products and shampoos are made with naturally derived coconut surfactant instead of harsh detergents or sodium lauryl/laureth sulphate. They gently cleanse the skin and hair without over drying.
Cranberry Lane's all natural bodycare and skincare products are designed to suit all family members; adults, babies and even pets. All our products are made with the finest, most effective natural herbs, plant oils and pure essential oils.
The Naming of Cranberry Lane
The world we live in today surrounds us with pollutants, irritants and stressors. All these elements are toxic to our bodies, and cause us damage on a daily basis. We believe that by going back to nature we can bring our lifestyles and our bodies back into balance. Nature provides us with some of the most potent and powerful ways to counteract the stress that today's environment places on our bodies. Cranberry Lane takes you back to nature, and re-introduces you to the wonders of plants, herbs and all-natural ingredients.
During the summer season many farmers are in the fields, harvesting plants, herbs and fruits. One of the fruits that caught our attention with its dark red colour was the Cranberry. This small berry contains many nutritious substances that are beneficial to the human body. It occurred to us that the Cranberry would be the perfect logo for our company. The Cranberry is representative of all the nutritious ingredients that our products contain, and the many health benefits they will provide you with. And so, Cranberry Lane was named.
